RAM is Ryan, Ahmad and Matt.
We're three co-founders from the University at Buffalo who started RAM Automation to do one thing well: take the repetitive work out of small and mid-sized businesses without making them change the tools they trust. The name is our initials. The ram is how we work: head down, straight through the problem.
Who does what

Ryan Zima
Ryan leads delivery and the financial-data engineering behind our accounting work. He built the MYOB companion end to end: reverse-engineering a 2003 accounting program's file format, extracting 22 years of ledger data in Python, and reconciling it to the penny against printed trial balances. He also structured the company's governance and negotiated our first client engagement. Accounting student at the University at Buffalo, where he leads audit and financial operations for several student organizations.

Ahmad Zahid
Ahmad owns the technical direction of the company. He's currently automating client billing in Sage Timeslips and built much of the Obsidian knowledge base, the document pipeline and the email integration for our CPA client. Management Information Systems student at the University at Buffalo, with a background in financial services at CIBC and hands-on infrastructure work in data centers, and VP of Professional Activities for the UB Data Analytics Club.

Matt Sciara
Matt runs the company's finances and built our email triage system, which reads 100+ messages a week and sorts them into what needs action now. He also handled the document side of our CPA engagement, decoding the practice's scanning format so years of bank statements became usable data. Finance and data analytics student at the University at Buffalo, focused on how technical understanding and client relationships fit together.
Our first engagement set the bar
We formed RAM Automation LLC as a three-member company with governing documents reviewed by outside counsel. Our first contracts came in the first month. One of them was a CPA practice handling sensitive financial data: Social Security numbers, EINs, banking records for hundreds of clients. We priced and negotiated that engagement under FTC Safeguards Rule data terms, with the contract reviewed by counsel before signature.
That engagement shaped how we build. The practice ran on software from 2003 that couldn't be replaced and had no API. So instead of asking the client to change, we used Claude Code and Python to rebuild the workflows around the existing programs, preserving every tool the practice relies on daily. The result is on our Work page.
Local-first
Sensitive data stays on your machines. Identifiers are redacted on output.
Nothing ripped out
We build around your systems. If it works for you, it stays.
Measured before shipped
Tested on your real history, with a regression suite that fails on any drop in accuracy.
